What did my little girl get for her birthday?
It sure was a big surprise
Wouldn't you know it, a big set of play-doh
'Cause play-doh lets kids improvise
She jumps right in and she starts fabricating
And then she looks up at me
"Daddy please try it, my play-doh confection"
A cookie all mushy and green

Who knew that raising kids would be so confounding?
You're asked to do crazy things
Eating a play-doh treat is just one of many
Duties of parenting
If I survive it I might need reviving
But then she just smiles at me
So I ingest it, her play-doh confection
And then I begin to turn green

O.M.G., what have I done?
I really hope that it's not toxic

Later I came awake, at medical city
After they pumped out my gut
What were you thinking? I hear my wife asking
"I thought it would all come out, but
I guess I had no idea what could happen"
And that's when she looked down at me
"It's a fake cookie, that play-doh confection
You just should pretend that you eat"

O.M.G., NOW she tells me
This fatherhood job might kill me
